ABOUT ME
Welcome!
My name is Maryanna Tollemache, and I'm an autistic actor and director based in New York City, but originally from Austin, Texas. My love for theatre began when my mom put on the 1999 DVD Original Broadway Cast of Into The Woods when I was 7 years old. Ever since then, I've been hooked! I continued my training through various performing arts schools in Texas (Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts & McCallum Fine Arts Academy) before going to New York City, where I would attend Marymount Manhattan College. I would find my love for sketch, improv, and stand up in those undergrad years! When not directing or performing I can be found binging movies for my Letterboxd, baking sweet treats, or playing card games with friends in Washington Square Park.
During my time at Marymount Manhattan College, where I will be receiving my double major BFA in Musical Theatre & Theatre Arts: Directing Concentration in May of 2025, I found a passion in disability artistry and disability studies! I am currently a Resident Director with The Neurodivergent New Play Series, and always looking to engage in theatre pieces regarding disability, or even adding a disability lens to theatre works. I believe that we can use theatre as a means of advocacy in the disability justice movement!
What's Next?
This July I will be reprising my role as Alice in Lizzie: The Musical at Doctuh Mistuh Productions in Austin, TX!

This is a limited run with the same cast as the 2023 production.
​
Lizzie: The Musical runs from July 11th - 20th at Austin Playhouse.
This July I will also be directing Amy & The Orphans by Lindsey Ferrentino at Ground Floor Theatre in Austin, TX!
​
I will be working under the Rising Directors program at Ground Floor Theatre.
​
Amy & The Orphans runs from August 14th - 30th.
