ABOUT ME

Hello!
My name is Maryanna Tollemache, and I'm an autistic actor, singer, dancer, and director, based in New York City. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas and recently graduated from Marymount Manhattan College, where I received my BFA Musical Theatre and BA Theatre Arts: Directing. During my time in NYC, I have performed at iconic venues such as Joe's Pub , The Green Room 42, The PIT, and have traveled across the United States with TheatreWorksUSA! When not performing or directing, I can be found working with elementary school children, binge watching movies, and cooking!
Being autistic has influenced my view in the world, and the way I engage with art. While attending Marymount Manhattan College, I found myself in a Disability in the Theatre course that would continue to influence the way I see theatre. I find a speciality in disability studies, and applying disability theory to the shows I work on, whether the show is also rooted in disability canon or could be seen through that lens!

What's Next?

Starting this January, I will be on tour in TheatreWorksUSA's 2026 Spring production of The Pout Pout Fish! I will be playing Storyteller #3 (Ms. Clam/Octopus/Worm/Reef Fish), and Puppetry Captain! I will also be covering The Pout Pout Fish and Shimmerfish.
