Maryanna's methods in directing include empathetic conversations and collaboration! She has been known to create rehearsal environments where actors and other creatives feel free to chime in with input. To keep the environment comfortable for exploring, she implements training in restorative justice to rehearsals.
She loves to explore new works and published pieces regarding disability, queerness, and girlhood (especially for weird girls).
